Skip Counting Numbers | Method of Skip Counting

We know skip counting numbers with smaller numbers. Now, we will learn skip counting with larger numbers.

Skip Count in 5s:

When we skip count in 5s, it means we keep adding by 5.

For example, 8690, 8695, 8700, 8705,8710

Skip Count in 10s:

When we skip count in 10s, it means we keep adding by 10.

For example, 3461, 3471, 3481, 3491, 3501

Skip Count in 100s:

When we skip count in 100s, tens and ones remain the same. We keep adding by 100.

For example, 1565, 1665, 1765, 1865, 1965

Skip Count in 1000s:

When we skip count in 1000s, the hundreds, tens and ones remain the same. We keep adding by 1000.

For example, 3476, 4476, 5476, 6476, 7476

1. Write six numbers more after 2,00,000 by skipping 10000.

Solution:

2,00,000;  2,10,000;  2,20,000;  2,30,000;  2,40,000;  2,50,000;  2,60,000

2. Write four numbers more after 17,350,100 by skipping 2,000,000.

Solution:

17,350,100;  19,350,100;  21,350,100;  23,350,100;  25,350,100

3. Observe the following numbers and write four numbers more.

Solution:

Numbers in the given series are written by skipping 6,00,000.

4. Observe the following numbers and write four numbers more.

Solution:

Numbers in the given series are written by skipping 2,00,000.

We can observe from the above examples that the method of skip counting with bigger numbers is exactly the same as the skip counting with smaller numbers.
