1. Find the sum of the numbers by rearranging them:

(i)729 + 1864 + 271

(ii) 865 + 2745 + 135

2. Find the product of the following numbers using the patterns:

(i) 50 × 674 × 2

(ii) 125 × 1099 × 8

3. Evaluate the following using patterns:

(i) 7217 × 77 + 23 × 7217

(ii) 456 × 112 – 12 × 456

4. Multiply using pattern.

(i) 35427 × 102

(ii) 12345 × 98

5. Find the difference using pattern.

(i) 4000 – 1794

(ii) 8900 – 4563

6. Evaluate the following using suitable patterns (properties):

(i) 2743 – 999

(ii) 10089 – 998

(iii) 4668 + 998

(iv) 5079 + 99

7. Find the product using suitable patterns (properties):

(i) 374 * 15

(ii) 168 * 50

(iii) 8040 * 125

(iv) 4824 * 25

8. Determine which of the following numbers are multiples of 3 without actual division?

(i) 3768

(ii) 11379

(Ⅲ) 1084

(iv) 75483

9. Consider the numbers 7, 7 × 7, 7 × 7 × 7, 7 × 7 × 7 × 7, 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 × 7. Find the right-most digit of each of these numbers. What do you observe? Based on your observation, find the right-most digit of the number 7 * 7 * 7 * 7…… 11 times.

10. It is given that 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + …………. + 10 = 55.

So, 11 + 12 + 13 + ………… + 20

= 155 [11 + 12 + 13 + ……. + 20

= (10 + 1) + (10 + 2) + ……….. + (10 + 10)

= 100 + 55]

Using the above pattern, evaluate the following:

(i) 31 + 32 + 33 + …………… + 40

(ii) 101 + 102 + 103 + …………. + 110

(iii) 991 + 992 + 993 + ………….. + 1000
